Speeches by English Appeal Court Judge Lady Justice Arden on freedom of expression, the Supreme Court, supranational courts in Europe and human rights and civil wrongs

English Appeal Court Judge Lady Justice Arden is an excellent speaker and writer on British legal affairs.

On 31st July 2009 she presented a well-researched and highly informative speech/paper entitled:

‘Freedom of Expression and the Role of a Supreme Court – Some Issues from across the World.

In the Hailsham lecture on 12th May 2009 she presented another informative and impressive speech/paper relevant to the subject of media law on ‘Human Rights and Civil Wrongs: Tort Law Under the Spotlight’.

On the 12th November 2009 she presented a speech/paper on: ‘Peaceful or problematic? The relationship between national supreme courts and supranational courts in Europe’ for the Annual Sir Thomas Moore lecture at Lincoln’s Inn.
